9/11/16 – Children and staff return to school tomorrow. Thank you all for your understanding. We are looking forward to seeing all of the children.
Bake off coming soon……..
Please remember the Macmillan coffee morning and staff bake off is coming this Friday 30th September. It will be lovely to see you all there – remember not to accept bribes from any staff!
Welcome back!
September 2016 – I can’t wait to see you all back at school on Tuesday and have missed you all! I am sure you look super smart in your new uniforms and are ready for another jam packed year of learning and adventure. I know the teachers have some fantastic activities planned and are raring to go. A special welcome to all of our new starters – we are looking forward to getting to know you all and you will have an amazing time at ‘The Font’. See you all soon. Mrs Liddell
Super athletes!
24/6/16 – Well done to Riley, David and Bethany for getting to the Athletics County finals last week. Unfortunately, David was away so couldn’t attend the event but well done for qualifying! Both Bethany and Riley were a credit to Bloemfontein and did themselves proud. Bethany came a respectable 8th out of 12 in the Shot putt – she is definitely one to watch in Year 6 next year! Riley came 2nd overall in the javelin and 4th in the 800m. I am sure he will continue to be a sporting demon in the NDA next year – good luck! Thank you also to Mrs Heslin for taking the children to the event.
Class 2 and 3 get fit!
23/6/16 – Class 2 and 3 showed off their sporting talents at a multi sport event today. They all had a fantastic time and behaviour was spot on! I am proud of you all.
New starters at The Font!
23/6/16 – it was lovely to meet the new Reception parents, relatives and children that came along to the new starters meeting tonight. I am so pleased that you have chosen Bloemfontein and promise that your child will have so much fun and wow you with their learning!
Den day coming soon ……..
Please bring in old clothes, waterproofs and any den building material (use your imagination!!!!!!) Only one more sleep and I can’t wait to have fun building dens whilst raising money for ‘Save the Children’ Parents are welcome to come along from 2pm and we will all get stuck in. Prizes for the best dens!
Wild families day
Groundworks visited school today to lead a ‘wild families day’. They informed me that it is the best turn out they have ever had but also the most fun! High praise everyone!!!! Parents, Grandparents and Aunties also all had an amazing time. We are booked already for next year – watch this space!
Soccer stars!
Class 1 showed off their football skills today in Consett and were amazing. The staff were also wowed by their talent. I can’t wait to see you on the football team in a few years time.
Easter activities
Bring in your eggs to decorate on Wednesday 23rd March – make sure they are hard boiled or it could be a disaster!!!! The children will decorate their eggs in school and we will judge them on Thursday. Parents are invited in to school on Thursday morning to vote and there will be a special assembly at 2.30pm to announce the winners. There will also be a grown up prize, so parents get your ‘Mister Maker’ heads on and show off your creative skills!
We will as always be having a chocolate raffle – any donations would be much appreciated!
Good luck to all children, parents and staff!
