Head Teacher’s Full Message

Welcome to Bloemfontein Primary School.

Thank you for visiting our website. I am very proud to be the Head Teacher of Bloemfontein Primary School and it is my pleasure to introduce you to our school.

Bloemfontein Primary School are an academy and as such are proud to be part of the Stanley Learning Partnership community.

Bloemfontein Primary School is a happy, friendly and hardworking school with strong links with the local community. Our school is situated in the village of Craghead on the B6313 close to South Moor Golf Club and is approximately 1 mile south of Stanley.

At Bloemfontein Primary School the staff and governors strive to create an exciting, caring, safe and secure environment in which children make excellent academic progress whilst having fun!

Our traditional school building (opened in 1910) is enhanced through an extensive field which includes woodland paths, a den building area and our very own bird hide. We also have a sizeable yard, an enclosed football area and a school allotment. As a school we are passionate about outdoor learning and children experience a wide range of activities including mud kitchens and forest type activities.

We ensure that children are provided with a wide range of opportunities through sporting activities, residential trips including a skiing trip abroad, computing and a creative based curriculum. Children report that they are happy at school, feel safe and enjoy their learning. We place an emphasis on good manners, respectful behaviour towards all and positive relationships.

At Bloemfontein, we strongly feel that we provide an education for life and a thirst for learning. If you are considering our school you can view or download our School Brochure, School Policies or find out how we are performing. Parents and Carers can keep up-to-date with events by viewing our School Admissions information, visiting our parents section or reading our latest newsletter.

If you require further information on any of the items shown on our website, please contact the school and we will do our best to help.

Mrs L Liddell (Head Teacher)
